Season History:

Scott was born In Anchorage, Alaska to Air Force Major Christopher Summers and Katherine Summers. While flying his family home from vacation, Christopher's private jet experienced a fire in one of the engines. Scott and his younger brother Alex were given the two remaining by their parents and forced to jump.

During the descent Scott was sustained a head injury, though he did not realize it at the time it would prevent him from being able to control the optic blast powers he would develop later in life. As his optic blast powers began to manifest he experienced intense headaches which would often culminate after a few days in a powerful discharge of red energy. Fortunately he was always able to get to a safe and discreet location before it happened. But he always feared his luck would one day run out.

Scott and Alex spent most of the remainder of their childhood's in foster care before going their separate ways after their high school. Scott sought to follow in his father's footsteps by joining the Air Force Academy, hoping to overcome the fear of flying he'd had since the accident become a pilot, but the headaches were becoming more powerful and the blasts more destructive.

It was one night where Scott followed and caught a group of cadets smuggling alcohol onto the Academy grounds that he completely lost control, forcing Scott to keep his eyes closed, effectively blinding himself. The cadets attempted to report him to the Academy Commandant the next day, but everything changed for Scott with the arrival of Charles Xavier.

Xavier erased the cadets memories of the incident and offered to help the young man, offering to host him at the Xavier institute, and to help bring his abilities under control. Scott, who was at this point effectively blind, unable to open his eyes without unleashing a destructive beam, accepted Xavier's offer out of desperation, knowing he couldn't remain at the Academy and possibly hope to keep his secret.

After a period of trial-and-error along with a few visits to Moria Mactaggert on Muir Island, Scott was given a pair of specially designed ruby quartz sunglasses, which once again allowed him to see, whilst holding back the energy of his optic blasts.

Despite now being able to see again Scott still decided to stay at the Xavier institute, a decision made easier after he laid his red-tinged gaze on fellow student Jean Grey. Scott felt almost instantly attracted to the powerful telepathic and telekinetic mutant. Unfortunately for Scott, years of isolating himself from others for fear of his mutant ability being discovered had left him a bit stunted when it came to approaching women, meaning it would be a while before he would be confessing any feelings to her.

After Scott and Jean more mutants began to follow: the super-healing, metal boned drifter Logan; the teleporting Kurt Wagner, the ice controlling Bobby Drake, and Rogue, with her ability to absorb physical attributes of other people. Ororo Munroe and Hank McCoy also rejoined the institute.

Cyclops commission by phil-cho

Xavier decided to make Scott the leader of the X-men during any "excursions". Though Logan might have possessed more skill, Scott, had learned enough from his time at the Academy, and better represented the attitude and temperament Xavier felt was needed to lead the X-men in the field.

Scott's first trial as leader of the X-men came when Muir Island was attacked by Black Tom Cassidy and Charles step-Brother, Cain Marko, who had become a human juggernaut possessing superhuman strength. Xavier and the X-men arrived to confront the duo.

Despite his incredible strength Scott was able to coordinate the X-men effectively enough to take down Juggernaut, removing his helmet, allowing Charles to put his step-brother in a catatonic state.

Despite often butting heads with Logan (who had disregarded Scott's instructions and recklessly tried to take on Marko head-on) Scott would have more success in the future Scott would have more success in the future. Such as when he lead the team through a game of cat-and-mouse where an infamous YouTube prankster known as Arcade threatened to expose the mutants on his channel.

But things took a drastic turn for the worst when Magneto's Brotherhood made its presence known to the X-men. Mystique and Sabretooth infiltrated the facility where Xavier had held the comatose Marko and after a brief fight with the X-men, were able to release the rampaging superhuman onto the streets of New York.

Scott once again led the X-men against the Juggernaut, and once again managed to subdue him. But the victory felt hollow, the existence of mutants were exposed and the X-men were exposed to the fearful and violent reactions of the human onlookers. To make matters worse the whole thing had been a ruse while the rest of the Brotherhood raided Muir Island to steal schematics and technology related to Cerebro.

Scott and many of the others were angry with Xavier for having hidden the existence of a group of "bad" mutants from them, Scott in particular was extremely frustrated to learn that Xavier  had told Logan before any of them. The reaction of the "normal" humans also seemed to disillusion Scott.

Mystique got wind of Scott's growing doubts, as well as learning with his frustration at not being brave enough to approach Jean, sought to seduce him to the Brotherhood's side. To the rest of the X-men's dismay it seemed to work and an angry Scott defected to Magneto's Brotherhood.

Magneto welcomed the former field-leader of the X-men with open arms, explaining his philosophy that humanity was hopelessly inclined to cruelty and oppression of the other, that humanity would (rightly) see "homo superior" as a natural threat to its privileged position as the world's dominant species. Scott learned that Magneto's plan was to establish a "mutant nation" where they would be free of any homo sapian authority.

Scott learned that "Year Zero" referred to the year when mutants made their presence known to the world and begin their journey to becoming the world's dominant species, starting with the founding of the new mutant nation. Magneto showed Scott a machine, much like Cerebro which would amplify his own Magnetic power across the globe and allow him to seize the Earth's magnetic field, he would then use this power to blackmail the leaders of the top Superpowers into recognizing the mutant nation, or unleash disasters until they did.

Scott attempted to alert Xavier to Magneto's plan but was subdued by Mystique and thrown into a ruby quartz cell. He didn't have to wait long before his fellow X-men infiltrated Magneto's Arctic base. during the fights which broke out throughout the facility as the Brotherhood tried to prevent the X-men from foiling the Year Zero plan.

Scott was found and freed by Jean Grey, who both then received unexpected help from Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, who told them where to find the device that shielded most of the base outside psychics. Scott disabled the device and joined the rest of his team to fight Magneto.

Much like with Juggernaut the strategy became an effort to remove Magneto's helmet so that Charles, using Cerebro could access his mind. Though it was their toughest challenge thus far as a team the X-men pulled it off. Scott ordered the X-men to evacuate while Xavier kept his old friend in place. They managed to escape before a US Navy cruise missile destroyed the base.

Once back home at the X-mansion, with the Brotherhood's leader seemingly dead and most of its members captured or on the run, Charles restored Scott's status as leader and they both revealed to the other X-men that his defection had been a clever ruse to spy on Magneto. Scott's teammates congratulated him on a job-well done, even Logan begrudgingly.

But the most important moment for Scott is when he finally confessed his feelings to Jean, only discover that she'd known all along. For someone who tended to get a bit tongue-tied around her, the telepath wryly observed, he had the habit of "thinking too loud."

POWERS, ABILITIES AND RESOURCES

Optic blast:
Scott emits a powerful beam of red energy from his eyes. The beam is conclusively destructive, meaning it doesn't burn. He draws the power needed to create the beam into his body by metabolizing ambient energies (solar radiation, photons, cosmic rays...) The beam at full power (which it always is whenever he opens his eyes due to his childhood injury) is extremely powerful, able to knock down walls or send metal doors flying off their hinges.

Energy Resistance:
After his beam was once deflected back at himself he discovered he was immune to it's effects.

Ruby Quartz Visor:
Developed after extensive testing of Scott's abilities by Doctor
Mactaggert, Scott's visor allows him to either completely block his optic beams or unleash them at adjusted levels of strength and intensity. It is an invaluable resource in combat, where his blasts would otherwise be at full power and very difficult to control effectively without major collateral damage.

Competent Pilot and Aeronautical Engineer:
Though he never got to the point of flying planes, Scott studied aeronautical logistics and skills extensively during his time at the Academy. Xavier allowed him to practice in his private jet, which he got the hang of very quickly. After the X-men's defeat of Magneto and Xavier's deal to cooperate with the US Government, the X-men have been promised a more "capable" Ariel transport, one Scott cannot wait to take for a test ride.

Competent Tactician and Strategist:
During his time at the Academy, Scott was taught to develop leadership skills, skills that were put to the test and enhanced during his duties leading the X-men.

Competent Martial Artist
Scott is reasonably skilled in hand-to-hand combat, though he is no match for seasoned martial artists like Mystique.

WEAKNESSES

Power Regulation Disability
Scott is unable to control his optic beams at will due to his head injury, meaning that without the aid of his glasses or visor his optic beams would be unleashed at full-power whenever his eyes were open.

TRIVIA
Scott, along with Bobby and Marie is an avid gamer, with his own preference being geared towards FPS, RTS and flight simulators.

Scott studiously avoids alcohol.

Scott will never miss a chance to visit an aviation museum.

Scott was once convinced, mostly during his childhood, that there was more to the plane crash that killed his parents than there seemed to be at first. As he got older he decided these were just the attempts of a traumatized child to rationalize the fact that his parents could have been taken by such a random act.

Scott occasionally has nightmares where he looses his glasses and ends up harming someone he knows, often Jean.

Season History:

Until joining the X-men, every day in the life of the man named Logan seemed to be the same as the last save for one: the first day he could remember, where he found himself alone and amnesiac, wondering through the snowy Canadian wilderness. All he had was a set

Logan survived year after year taking various jobs, sometimes a cage-fighter, sometimes as freelance security for industrial interests looking to ward of vandals. He would never stay in the same place to long, partly because the longer he lingered the greater the chance that his mutant ability, his increased healing powers, along with the indestructible claws in his arms, would be discovered.  The other reason was the constant feeling that there were people out there searching for him, and that he didn't want them to find him.

Logan's existence as an aimless, amnesiac drifter in the Canadian wilds ended with a violent encounter with the mutant Victor Creed, who (working on behalf of Magneto) attacked Logan during a particularly frigid winter. This lead to an intense life-or-death game of cat and mouse through the snowy forests. During the deadly game Logan found himself reduced to an almost bestial states after weeks of evading his pursuer, making himself a danger to himself and others.

Fortunately for Logan his distressed state was detected by Charles Xavier using Cerebro, who dispatched Scott Summers and Jean Grey to find him. They were accompanied by a supposed wilderness guide by the name of Brent Jackson. When they finally found Logan however, Jackson turned his gun on the mutants and announced that he worked for a secretive organization that intended to acquire "Codename: Wolverine" for their own purposes.

Creed arrived and captured Jackson while Scott and Jean escaped with Logan. After cornering them at a roadside motel Creed managed to lure Logan out using Jackson (who he claimed had extensive knowledge of Logan's past) as a hostage. Once Logan confronted Creed, however the killer mutant murdered Jackson, enraging Logan, resulting in a vicious fight between the two. The battle left both Creed and Logan incapacitated.

Logan was brought to the Xavier institute. Xavier offered for Logan to stay with them, but Logan sensed an ulterior motive. Logan guessed that Charles had enemies, and would need someone of Logan's skills and temperament around when things got bad. Charles confirmed that there were mutants out there who didn't share his desire for peace with mankind.

The Wolverine commission by phil-cho

Logan decided to stay on with the X-men, often accompanying Scott and/or Jean on missions to find and recruit new mutants. Logan was present for the discovery of Kurt Wagner, Bobby Drake, and Marie D'Ancanto (though Marie initially joined the Brotherhood).

From the beginning Logan was drawn into conflict with Scott. Neither was prepared to accept the idea of the other as "leader". Charles wanted Scott to handle strategic decisions, as well as concern himself with the team's morale, whereas he expected Logan to train the mutants in tactical skills. To make matters worse the team was divided into several "factions", the newer recruits like Kurt, Bobby and Rogue who were more inclined to side with Logan, and those from before Logan's time like Storm, Beast and Jean who were more comfortable with Scott. Fortunately this didn't cause too much trouble for the team during their first campaign against the Brotherhood.

As Magneto put his Year Zero plan into motion, resulting into the exposure of the Mutant phenomenon to the global public and governments Logan faced his first great test.  After Scott's seeming defection to the Brotherhood he was left to pursue a leadership role alone.

When Magneto seized control of the earth's Magnetic field Charles sent his students on a mission to infiltrate his arctic base of operations. After an intense battle with the duplicating mutant James Madrox the team moved into the command room of the base, where they encountered Magneto along with his main lieutenants; Raven Darkholm and Victor Creed.

Another viscous battle occurred between Logan and Creed. The fight ended with Logan attempting to interrogate his rival, trying to find out what Victor knew about his past, but Logan only received harsh mockery and vague insinuations.  Logan decapitated the murderous mutant, seemingly killing him.

With Magneto seemingly dead and most of the Brotherhood incarcerated or on the run most of the X-men assumed Logan would return to his life as a drifter, but he surprised everyone by instead agreeing to stay, on the condition that Xavier probe his mind to try and unlock the details of his past, which Logan was convinced were buried somewhere deep in his subconscious.

POWERS, ABILITIES AND RESOURCES

Increased Healing Powers
Logan's core mutant ability is his greatly enhanced healing power, which allows him to take an enormous amount of physical punishment and recover from even the most horrific injuries much faster than the average human. Not only is he able to heal most physical injuries and sicknesses, it protects him from virtually all natural causes of death makes his age impossible to determine. The ability, commonly referred to as his "healing factor", also allow him to recover energy and stamina much faster, enabling to exploit his physical attributes beyond that of normal humans.

Enhanced Senses
Logan's senses are greatly enhanced compared to normal humans, particularly his hearing and smell, which came in handy whilst trying to survive in the wilderness.

Adamantium Skeleton
Logan's skeleton is completely laced with near-indestructible adamantium skeleton. The metal is not part of his natural mutation, but something likely added acquired as part of a scientific experiment. The adamantium makes his skeleton invulnerable, further adding to his superhuman resilience.

Claws
Logan has six retractable claw-like bones, one in each arm. The claws appear to be part of his natural skeleton and most likely a secondary mutation. Because of the adamantium, they are just as indestructible as the res of his skeletal structure, making them not only virtually impossible to break, but able to cut through almost anything.

Martial arts skills
Logan seems to have an instinctual skill in martial arts, suggesting that he had extensive training before he lost his memory.

Weapons Expert
Logan is highly knowledgeable about and highly skilled in the use of a wide array of ranged and melee weapons. Like many of his skills these seem to come to him instinctively, again suggesting he developed them in the time before he lost his memory.

Paramilitary Expert
Logan seems to have a strong grasp of paramilitary tactics, which became invaluable when he assumed leadership during Scott's brief departure.

Skilled Mechanic
Unlike his other skills, Logan remembers acquiring his skills as a mechanic while trying to maintain the various vehicles hew went through owning during his wanderings in the Canadian wilderness.

Multilingual
Logan has a strong grasp of several languages beside his native English, he is fluent in Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Spanish and most interestingly multiple Native American tongues. He also has some understanding of French, German, Thai and Vietnamese. He does not recall how he learned these languages.

WEAKNESSES

Decapitation
While it was only a theory, Charles Xavier suggests that should his head be removed, Logan's body might not be able to use it's healing powers, as the brain would not be able to send the necessary signals to his body.

Drowning
During his fight with Victor Creed, Logan's rival attempted to drown him underneath the arctic ice, hinting that cutting off his brain's oxygen supply would be the most effective (and agonizing) way to kill the seemingly indestructible mutant.

Sensory Overload
Logan's heightened sense of hearing can be a liability as much as an asset if it gets overwhelmed, sufficiently loud noises can cause him much greater discomfort than would be experienced by regular humans.

TRIVIA
Logan's favorite musical artist is Johnny Cash.

Logan began reading the Bible and occasionally praying after meeting Kurt Wagner, though he keeps this secret from most of the other X-men.

Logan enjoys eating salami as a snack.

Logan's favorite brand of cigars is Cohiba.

Logan doesn't read much, but one classic he does enjoy is James Fenimore Cooper's Last of the Mohicans.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Logan is a big fan of Clint Eastwood movies, his favorite being Unforgiven.

Logan has a habit of using his claws as eating utensils, much to the discomfort of the other X-men.

Joker: The Jester of Genocide
A few months after rumors of the wraith-like urban legend of the Bat-Man began to circulate around Gotham, a demonic entity seemingly out of a horror movie visiting justice upon Gotham's underworld, a new, more down-to-earth but nonetheless terrifying figure began to stalk the streets, a demented serial killer known only as the Joker.

The Joker's murders were totally random, with no discernible pattern or links between the victims, and even the killings themselves would range from elaborate and stylish, to brutal and savage. No witnesses were left, the killer's face was never filmed or photographed and identifying forensic evidence was sorely lacking at every crime scene. But Gotham could only be so frightened by one serial murderer, it had seen no shortage of depraved killers before, but after the jokers acts escalated from homicide to terrorism he became a much greater threat.

The first individual known to have set eyes on the Joker and survived was none-other than the Dark Knight himself. After saving a number of random Gothamites the Joker had strapped to electric chairs Batman cornered the Joker, looking upon his face for the first time, seeing a crazed man with his skin turned permanently white and his dirty hair green. The clown escaped, but Batman was able to track him to the Gotham Royal hotel, where he had turned many of the upper floors into a sort of macabre fun-house fitted with deathtraps and decorated with the bodies of his victims alongside the amusement-park-esque decor.

It was in the luxury suite where the Joker held a number of Gotham's elite citizens and government officials hostage. He challenged them to a perverse game in which they would be given a number of blasting machines. Each one of them would have to pick a random machine and use it, most of them would be harmless but one would destroy the building across the whole building. Each hostage would only be allowed to leave after they used one trigger.  The Joker intending to go out in a glorious murder-suicide which would simultaneously claim multiple lives and shatter the people of Gotham's faith in the leaders.

When District Attorney Harvey Dent's turn game to choose a device he refused to play, an annoyed Joker prepared to shoot him but before he could the lights in the room go out and when they are on again the joker was gone. Harvey and the other hostages take the opportunity to escape while Batman leaves Joker beaten bloody in the hotel lobby for the Police to find.

Astounded by the fact that Gotham's demonic, vengeful protector had spared his life the Joker far from being left terrified and traumatized like other criminals became obsessed and fascinated by the "beast" that he'd up till then believed was a folk-tale.

Immediately following his arrest the joker staged a riot at Black-Gate Penitentiary hoping to attract another encounter with the Batman, which he inevitably did. As Batman moved through the Prison, striking at the inmates from the shadows he found the Clown in the security control room. Having just observed Batman on the control monitors he realizes that he is no kind of demon or monster but a "Texas ranger in a Halloween costume". The Joker surrenders himself to Batman without a fight and reveals that he has taken the liberty of erasing the prisons security footage so Batman wouldn't have to, not wanting anyone else to be in on the Batman's "act".

After the riot was subdued and the Joker again in custody the courts saw that the Clown was committed to Arkham Asylum, where he was content to wait while he planned the next round of sinister "games" for the new special person in his life.

(I've been trying to come up with a Joker to go along with my Batman for a while but nothing I did looked quite right. I used darker colors to up the creepiness factor and combined elements of both the Arkham series and Heath Ledger versions into one.

As you can tell the origin story combines bits from Arkham Origins while also having him start from relatively humble beginnings as a Zodiac-style serial killer.)

Batman: The Dark Knight (2.0)
Decided to revisit this micro:

At the age of eight, Bruce Wayne and his parents, Thomas and Martha, were heading home from Saturday Night Mass when tragedy struck. Thomas decided to take a short-cut around the Cathedral, where they were confronted by an unfamiliar masked man with a gun, who demanded all their money and jewellery. Thomas tried to fight back but was immediately gunned down by the masked man, followed soon by his wife. Before the mugger could turn his gun on Bruce, the Wayne's only son ran, feeling to the sanctuary of the Cathedral.

Not knowing where to find any of the staff, the frightened Bruce ran up to the tallest spire of the Cathedral, hoping to hide from his parents' murderer. As he made his way up he found himself frightened and intimidated by the imposing stone figures of the winged gargoyles. Once he reached the bell-tower he found it infested with bats who swarmed him, causing him to pass out from fear and panic.

The next day he would be found, terror-stricken and traumatized, by young Police Detective James Gordon. As he was led out of the Cathedral he passed the blanket-covered bodies of his parents and completely broke down.

Over the next few years Bruce was raised by the Wayne family Butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Bruce would continue to visit the same Cathedral, ascending to the bell tower to confront the bats, and continued doing so until he was able to overcome his fear and walk among them without panicking.

At the age of 23 Bruce left Gotham, traveling the world in search of some way to overcome his pain, hatred and grief. He learned numerous skills, especially in areas of science and martial arts. at the age of 29 he encountered the mysterious Henry Ducard in Paris.

Henry was the Grand Master of the secretive Order of St. Dumas. After deeming Bruce a worthy potential member he took him to the Orders headquarters in Avignon to train him to become a Crusader of St. Dumas. Bruce excelled, becoming one of the Orders greatest pupils, when he was finally knighted he joined Ducard to break up a human trafficking ring based in Nice. They managed to successfully defeat the criminals, but Bruce was horrified to see Ducard mercilessly kill every last one of them once they had been subdued.

When Bruce returned to the Order's headquarters he challenged Ducard to single combat,, which the Grand Master accepted. Bruce beat Ducard, but refused to kill him, Ducard warned that he could not become Grand Master if he wasn't willing to take his life, and would thus be expelled from the Order. Bruce left and returned to Gotham, having learned everything he needed to know. With the aid of his wealth, and his companies tech he began to prepare to wage an aggressive one-man war on crime.

Taking inspiration from the Cathedral Gargoyles and bats that had frightened him so much as a child, Bruce combined numerous pieces of high-quality combat and survival gear into a costume resembling a terrifying winged creature of darkness. The "Bat Man" took to the streets, becoming a fearsome Urban Legend that terrified the scum of the city the same way the young Bruce had been terrified all those years ago.

(Behind the Micros: I wanted to create a more realistic Batsuit, neither skin-tight or future-soldier types we see in TDK films. To that end I wanted to make it look like it had been assembled from pieces of swat/paramilitary gear, and thankfully Zedox on the microheroes forums had created plenty of templates designed for creating just that type of character. I decided to remove the exposed mouth as I felt he looks far cooler without it, and it makes him more easy for superstitious criminals to mistake him for some creature of the night in low-light environments. I also wanted his ears to more resemble an actual Bat, fortunately ultimocomics had created a micro which I was able to use as a reference for the ears.

For the backstory I decided to play-up the Gothic elements of the Batman mythos by having Bruce's parents killed outside a Cathedral instead of a theater, as well as having him be trained by the Order of St Dumas instead of the League of Shadows or something like that.)

International Flag of Liberty
I found this hanging around on my computer, I think I made it for some Hearts of Iron mod I planned to make a while back.

I'm fascinated by libertarianism, it's basically the attitude of "chill bro" embodied in a political philosophy. Even though I'm not libertarian myself I've never really felt threatened by it, and unlike certain other ideologies and movements I don't feel it tries to hide a more sinister agenda.

I basically combined the snake in the US navy jack with the 1st New England flag. I chose the latter because it heavily resembles a battle flag used by the roundheads in the English Civil War, who removed the king and abolished the monarchy (for a while). It was basically the idea that you could remove a King that gave birth to all classically liberal thought.

I do have other flag designs, might upload the more interesting ones some time.

I used elements found on the Wikimedia Commons.

My main form of artwork is micros.

I'm a terrible artist, wheather it be, traditional, 3D, digital, you name it, I just won't be able to deliver a satisfactory result. I'm trying to improve, but for now, if you want to request anything, please don't expect anything more than a micro.

Micro's are INCREDIBLY easy to make and can be done in minutes if you have the right templates. I know it's a poor alternative to drawing REAL art. put for people like me, who should have paid more attention in art class, it's all we've got.

I'm not a bad writer either, if I can motivate myself I can create something quite... Good (Sorry for the bland choice of words, I'm in a hurry.)

I wanted to do something similar for my universe, but Roy advised me that Disney might not have liked it.
